Memorial Day is approaching. To all those who have served and sacrificed, and to their families, God bless you and thank you for our freedom.

I read two columns in the Post Tribune — Quickly and Carrol Vertrees, not necessarily in that order. What a great writer and philosopher.

I want to thank the lady who took my purse into Meijer. My son was in the hospital, and I was a hurry. Bless you for being honest. Thank you.

Thank you, Strack and Van Til on Cline Avenue in Highland, for the beautiful landscaping.

Look at your family, friends and neighbors. Everyone has been affected by divorce. Many families also have gay members. There are no exceptions to life experiences, so let people choose how they want to live their lives. Life is too short to fight about it.

I agree with the Catholic Church. The 80 percent of Catholic women who use birth control should pay for it. Rules are rules!
