Quickly’s Neighbors, June 14

Want to earn some fast easy money? Why not open a towing and auto body shop at Vale Park and the 49 bypass. With three scary-go-rounds inside a half mile, it won’t be long before business will be spinning your way and you will be rolling in dough and laughing all the way to the bank.

Well hooray for Mayor Karen Freeman-Wilson of Gary. It looks like the Steel City finally did something right and got the right person in that job. Good for them.

What happened to innocent until proven guilty, Chairman McDermott? Way to back up your Democrats.

I’m a Gary resident and I live on Broadway. It has been hot in this building in the lobby for over three weeks. This is a senior citizen’s highrise and we pay good rent. It’s awful.

I would like to thank all the people and the Portage Fire Department who helped my wife when she fainted while watching the Portage graduation ceremony. Fortunately it was only heat exhaustion.

When the construction is completed on 133rd Avenue in Cedar Lake, motorists will feel that they are in Kokomo. (Kokomo is known as stoplight city.)
