I miss the two beautiful evergreen trees in front of Portage City Hall that were cut down. The excuse given was lame. Firetrucks still needed to come to a stop before they entered Central.
What a great picture
in Thursday’s Post-Tribune of the 5-year-old “jammin’ ” with the band at the festival in Schererville. He actually looked like he was part of the band. Loved it!
Drive through the Ross Township part of Hobart and you will see garbage cans that have the city logo. Just another example of Hobart pandering to a part of the city that was annexed against its will.
Hobart enforces fireworks laws? You and I obviously don’t live in the same part of town.
What is Merrillville thinking having the July Fourth parade moved to the 3rd at 6 p.m.? That’s when most people get off of work. I have a business on Broadway and people are trying to get home. They don’t want to be rerouted.
Wednesday I hit a small white dog on Ridge Road in Hobart. I turned around to see if he was OK but he was already gone. I hope and pray he’s OK. If he’s your dog, I’m so very sorry.
