I am 63, and I was a teenager when I started driving. As the years went by, I got to be a very good driver. Now that I am older, I notice a difference in my driving. I’m not what I used to be. Yes, some of us old people need to know when to get out from behind the wheel.

I drive U.S. 6 every day. Tell your 85-year-old mother the speed limit is 45 mph, not 35. Five days a week, I get behind a driver with a handicapped plate who is doing 35. That’s dangerous.

It’s better that you drive your elderly mother where she needs to go, rather than to suffer the consequences of her hurting someone or herself.

To all the good residents of Lake County: Remember, nothing good happens after midnight. Stay home.

There’s nothing wrong with a teenager target shooting, as long as the target isn’t people.

Teenagers have no business with guns, huh? Tell that to all our Olympic athletes in the shooting competitions.

Hey, Jerry Davich, can you please address why gas keeps going up when oil prices are down? Can you embarrass these oil company executives or something? Gas just went up more than 40 cents a gallon. For what reason?

The hummingbirds are still around. I have three that stay in my yard. During the very hot weather, they only come out in the morning and the evening. They are here all summer long.

We are on the Do Not Call List, and we still get calls from those credit card finance companies. Does anyone know how to stop them? I’m about to cancel my land line.
