Quickly’s Neighbors, Aug. 7

Updated: September 8, 2012 6:11AM

I lost a black two-inch binder filled with coupons separated in baseball card sleeves on Friday afternoon at the Valparaiso Wal-Mart. If anyone has found it, could you turn it in to the customer service desk? I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

Shame on the Hobart City Council. You want to give yourself raises. When you volunteered to do that position on the City Council and ran for election it was to serve the community. The people who are in firefighter ranks, police ranks and the other city employees deserve the raise before you do.

Rudy Clay was a bad mayor but it looks like Karen Freeman-Wilson is even worse.

Portage’s proposed new garbage pickup will not take grass clippings and yard waste? They tried this years ago but because they could not offer an alternative, they could not do it. So how can they do it now?

There was a train stopped on the tracks in Hobart more than two hours on Main Street and over Wisconsin Street. I hope an ambulance or firetruck wasn’t trying to get through.
