Being in social work, I’m constantly aware there are lots of people hurting. A little kindness and understanding go a long way toward making someone’s day.
School has started, and the wife of a school board member is breaking the rules while picking up her child from practice. She parks right in front of the doors, where no one else can see if their children are waiting.
The best way to fix Medicare and Social Security would be to put our elected officials under each provider. I’m sure they would come up with a solution that wouldn’t take anything away from either.
If America has talent, tell me, dear God, where is it?
Tom Philpot is asking for his federal indictment to be thrown out. Come on, Tommy, buck up and be a man.
My bass club fishes Lake George at least six times a year. We all have noticed how much trash is being left on the shore. If you’re going to fish from shore, please take your trash with you. Let’s all work to keep the shoreline clean. For those who don’t know it, our club restocks the lake with bass every fall.
I would like to know why banks that foreclose on homeowners do not have to maintain those residences. I have one across the street, and it is a real eyesore. We need help with this growing problem in every Northwest Indiana community.
Why is it that when you are dating, men will say “excuse me” when they belch, cover their mouths when they yawn or sneeze, do not talk with their mouths full and use air freshener when they have used the restroom? Then, after you are married, all of the above disappear.
