Quickly’s Neighbors, Sept. 5

Updated: October 6, 2012 1:46PM

Why don’t they put a sensor at the traffic light on U.S. 6 by the Paragon Restaurant? I have sat there at a red light at 4 in the morning when there is no traffic even trying to get onto U.S. 6.

The Veterans Memorial is about two blocks east of Broadway on the north side of 73rd Avenue (old 30). Good luck finding the brick though. Some have yet to be installed and I was told by a town council member the record keeping leaves a wee bit to be desired.

Good luck to all the boys playing fall ball in Crown Point. We’ve never taken part in the past, but look forward to a great season! I’ve got the blankets handy for those brisk September and October nights.

Every time I drive past the new library on Main Street and Robinson Court in Crown Point, I can only think of one word to describe it: Monstrosity! This building detracts from the historical significance of the downtown square. Those public officials who allowed this building should be ashamed of themselves! Little matter the contents or how great the references, the building itself is totally out of place in that location. Solon Robinson must be turning over in his grave!
