Dealing with the school buses on Central Avenue in Portage wouldn’t be so bad if they didn’t stop at every student’s house to drop them off. What happened to bus stops?
To the people that took my children’s swimming toys on Aug. 31 (a big blue whale and a basketball hoop net): Parents, be aware your kids are stealing in Hobart. Shame on you.
Why do Gary schools still pay an exorbitant salary for an athletic director when they only actually have two high schools with sports?
In front of the Crown Point Library on Court Street there are two signs, on both sides of the street, saying “State law, yield to pedestrians.” Today there was an elderly woman trying to cross, as not one, but five cars flew by her. Thank you to number six for stopping. The police could have a gold mine over there writing tickets.
Does Edison Learning know what they are doing at Roosevelt? My daughter’s been at the new ’Velt for more than four weeks and neither she nor her classmates have correct schedules. Is the state or community really watching them?
