It’s been more than a week-and-a-half since Halloween in Chesterton, yet, I’m still picking up wrappers and half-eaten candy from my walkway and front yard. The sad thing is, most of the kids had parents chaperoning them. Next year, the kids in my neighborhood can keep on walking to the next house. My door will be locked.
I got a sticker when I voted in Liberty Township. It said that my vote counted. I voted Libertarian. Did my vote count? If I had voted for Mitt Romney, would my vote have counted?
I’m kind of jealous of all the people who received “I Voted” stickers. In all my years of voting in Hobart, I’ve never gotten one of those stickers.
To code enforcement officials: We are begging you to come to Wildwood Shores in Lowell to make people clean up their yards. People are collecting scrap piles 7 feet high. In addition, we are begging police to enforce expired tags on cars. We work hard to tend our yards, so to see this is very upsetting.
