I don’t know who programs East Chicago’s stoplights, but they sure didn’t do a good job. On Indianapolis Boulevard, you can’t go from one stoplight to the next without getting a red light. The crossing streets stay greener longer, which doesn’t make any sense.
It’s so great 25th Avenue has been repaved. I would like to see it stay in good repair. I recently saw a semi truck coming east on 25th Avenue off Burr Street when the sign is clearly marked “No trucks.” What’s even more puzzling? A Gary police car was also coming through and did not stop the truck.
My hat is off to the Portage Texas Corral for honoring veterans. The free entrees and gratitude shown to veterans was something I will always remember. God bless the USA.
Attention Portage police: You are missing out on a small fortune by not catching the people who blow the light at Interstate 94 and Indiana 249. You could be writing tickets morning and night.
I see where a firm out of Illinois wants to come over and make compost out on Central Avenue. Well, it’s not going to work. We’ve got one sitting on Ridge Road to the west side of Chase Street that somebody opened and never finished, and another one up by the Gary airport that was never finished.
