I couldn’t agree more with the Quickly caller about the shape of the music industry. Justin Bieber is just another cute kid with mediocre talent.
I sent an email to my state representative, congratulating her on being re-elected. I told her I was from the opposing party and that I would be asking her questions from time to time. She referred me to a representative from a different county. How is that supposed to work?
There’s no rule that says retail has to be open on every holiday. There’s just corporate greed, and a lot of it.
The U.S. Postal Service, schools, etc., all are in trouble. Why? Pensions and insurance. Yet, we all have to help pay for these, taxes, lotteries, etc. Let people pay for their own pensions and contribute more for insurance, like the rest of us. Too much was promised years ago and now cannot be fulfilled.
Jesse Jackson Jr. served 17 years as a congressman? Now, he resigns three weeks after the election, in which he won. Now, Illinois must have a special election to replace him. This election will cost the state at least $1 million. Why did Jackson not make this decision a month ago? Why did voters elect a congressman who was absent since June? I am so glad that I no longer live in Illinois.
Jerry Davich might be right about some of the reasons for the “walkaway wives,” but maybe he should look into the reasons for walkaway husbands. Maybe it’s not “all his fault.”
I wonder who is going to apologize first, Sen. John McCain or Susan Rice? I understand there are 97 Republicans who wrote a letter, begging McCain to retire.
