I think Paul Whitesell, the chief of the Indiana State Police, showed vision for supporting legalization of marijuana. It’s common sense — and a lot of new tax money — just sitting there.
I worked Black Friday in a local sporting goods store. There was no shoving nor unruly customers. Nearly every person I came into contact with was very happy and cheery. Even the people who were in line, in the cold at 4 a.m., were in great spirits.
As long as there are government workers, there always will be people who don’t work the holidays.
What is wrong with you people? Christmas is Christmas. Get over it; let it be. Buy a gift for a child or do something creative and useful. Stop whining.
I never liked Paul McCartney. And that goes double now with his smug insistence that we all become vegetarians. Go back to England.
Why would someone cut the holiday lights on the trees at the Lake Station Boys & Girls Club? You’re pretty low, if you ask me, to cut lights on a place designed to help kids grow to their full potential.
The only way our country will get back on track will be for our hard-nosed politicians on both sides to meet in the middle. Stop the finger-pointing and stop trying to make brownie points. Act like adults.
Never try to tell a child that his or her parents were not nice people. Some people never can accept the truth.
It is almost time for the farmers to get their annual welfare payments they call subsidies.
