I would like to thank the two Lake Station police officers, LS85 and LS60, for catching the two people who were stealing scrap on Sunday morning, Dec. 2, from people’s houses. They very promptly caught those two.
That was a white-knuckle drive coming home Sunday night from Gary to Cedar Lake. That was the thickest fog I’ve ever seen. Hope no one was hurt out there.
Took a drive through Cedar Lake and I have to say, I sure loved the idea of the streets lined with Christmas trees. Very nice holiday touch.
I see they destroyed that beautiful ancient library building down by the RailCats stadium. I really hope they had sense enough in this senseless city to repurpose all that beautiful stone. I just hate to see the city being taken apart. We don’t need more vacant lots; we need training to renovate the buildings that are here.
Several boys in Merrillville are going around, stealing. If you catch them, please have them arrested, since they apparently want to get a record. And let them spend some of the money out of their pockets for tearing up your property.
