Heads up on Burr Street, north of Ridge Road to the railroad tracks. They’re giving out lots of “souvenirs” from 8 to 10 a.m. The speed limit is 30. Be forewarned.
Take a ride to 78th Avenue and Massachusetts Street, just past St. Joan of Arc Church, and you’ll see two beautifully decorated homes.
I’d like to thank Cathy and Kathleen at the Summit Street Post Office in Crown Point for their over-the-top service of tracking and delivering my lost mail. Also, I’d like to thank our paper carrier, Venus, for good service, right to the door.
Many people comment about the downfall of Gary (and) ... employees ... robbing the city blind. I often wonder how much better off Gary would be if all the employees would just be honest.
I was really shocked to see the headlines on the front page of Wednesday’s paper that said, “State says library records shoody in Gary.” (Not really; that was sarcasm.)
