Go to the library. It’s like taking your brain to the gym.
Any day above ground is a good one. What I do today is important because I am exchanging a day of my life for it.
Life is the best teacher — whatever you need to know, it will teach. And, if you don’t learn it the first time, you shouldn’t worry, because if you need it, it will teach you again.
Cities with high crime-homicide rates should issue warnings to all visitors and travelers via maps and electronic devices to stay clear and avoid certain areas. This should be federally mandated to protect citizens from harm.
If you think the only way to be “like a man” is to own and use a gun, you have issues — too many to discuss in Quickly. Please get help. And, no, I am not anti-gun; I am anti-gun nut.
I heard someone say shortly after Christmas, “Yes, I took down all my Christmas stuff.” It made me sad to think this person probably has forgotten just why Christmas is celebrated.
Many Quickly contributors have written about the pros and cons of marriage. We should be glad that we’re not like some cultures, in which the bride must take a vow to obey her mother-in-law.
The Newtown slaughter of young children took place in a small, rural “safe” town. There’s this American mind-set of violence. What have we become? Who is safe?
Everyone seems to have gone off the deep end. No one wants to take responsibility for their actions. Everyone needs to get their social media houses in order. Parents need to monitor what their kids are doing while under their roof.
