More than $200 million of taxpayer money has been invested in the Gary/Chicago International Airport to provide jobs, yet, Gary has an unemployment rate of more than 13 percent. Aren’t Gary citizens being told about these jobs at the airport? Shouldn’t the airport authority set up job interviews in the city?
