The new Maria Reiner Senior Center in Hobart is wonderful — wonderful, that is, if you can get in through the massive, heavy doors. Whoever heard of a senior center with no handicap button on its doors?

Why should I pay for Indiana illegal aliens to take a driver’s education course? Road signs, etc., should be only in English — this is America, not a foreign country! Is this a joke by North Township Trustee Frank Mrvan? If not, get him out of office!

You said employees at the Lake County Government Center are related. How do you know, unless you are related to them?

It appears another item needs to be added to local government ethics training — the issue of Christmas cards. Gary City Judge Deidre Monroe had to pay back the city for almost $800 worth of cards she sent to people, letting them know the city court is accessible. What greater joy at Christmas time is there than to know the city court is accessible and thinking about you?
