For several weeks, gas prices have been jumping 20-30 cents a week like clockwork. News interviews say they plan to keep on raising the prices. Why is nothing being done to rein in this gouging of the public?

I’m 74 years old and not even 5 feet tall. The garbage can is bigger than me. Why can’t we get a smaller one? I hate ’em.

Why, oh why, can’t slow drivers move to the right lane on U.S. 30 between Valpo and I-65? Between texting, blabbing, coffee drinking, breakfast eating and sleeping, can’t you get out of the way when there is a half-mile long string of cars behind you?

If restaurants are going to charge $2 or $3 for a cup of coffee, would it be too much to expect fresh coffee and not stuff that has been sitting on the hot plate for half an hour?

Just curious. President Obama mentioned how we are less dependent on foreign oil. How come gas is so expensive then?

Picked up a package of ground beef, got it home and it was all nice and red on the outside but a disgusting gray on the inside. Do you think they put new ground beef on the outside so it will sell or what?

How close to treason is it when Republicans stymie every legislative effort to move our country forward for reasons only of making the president’s agenda fail? There should be differences of opinion, but that is not the same as obstructionism.

Thank you, President Obama for wanting to raise the minimum wage. Is that how we are going to pay down the debt? The price of goods and service will go up and my standard of living will go down. Maybe then I can apply for assistance.
