The administrators at West Side Academy need to take another look at their dress code. You go there and you see stretch pants and sagging pants. If it’s a dress code, make every kid live up to that standard. If they don’t want to, send them home.
Roosevelt High School in Gary was built in the 1920s. For a private company to expect others to maintain it is ridiculous. That company has plenty of money. Let them build a new school.
To the person complaining the new garbage cans in Portage are too big and too heavy to push around: Just do like lots of people in the town I live in, and leave them sitting in front of your home all week long. You can just drive by and throw your trash in.
Gary Community School Corp.: You have money to hire consultants for $90,000 a year, yet you have employees who are still laid off, no toilet paper, towel paper or copy paper in your building. If you can hire these new administrators, give me my job back.
I just came down Merrillville Road just south of U.S. 30
and it’s littered with trash.
