The Hudson-Campbell Fitness Center in downtown Gary is estimated to need $1 million for rehab and to make it
compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act, which means it will end up costing more like $2 million. Sounds
like a perfect investment for
the Regional Development Authority.
The Gary Community School Corp. would not consider selling schools to charter schools, so of course the charters have to build their own.
Gary Community School Corp. has an inordinate fear that EdisonLearning will be successful in the takeover of Roosevelt.
If you live in Ross Township with a Crown Point mailing address you can get a library card in Crown Point and use the library. You just need to get a card first from the Lake County Public Library system. It’s that easy!
In Michigan City I called and asked for a smaller garbage can and they obliged me.
I read the article about Valparaiso Mayor Costas being too ill to read his speech. There was nothing offensive in it. It just stated the facts. Why are you trying to create a problem where none exists?
