I am glad that Crown Point is so flush with cash to turn on lights at night all winter long for a tennis court without nets.
Well, now it’s come to a full stop to cross the tracks at 64th Avenue and Madison Street in Merrillville. Today I went when it was rush hour and it was bumper-to-bumper because of the stop.
Don’t feel bad, Lake Central School Corp. employees. School City of Hobart employees haven’t had a raise in 9 years.
This comment is for the Gary police: I had an encounter with officers twice on Saturday. They handled the situation perfectly and I appreciate it and they’ve given me hope. They were just wonderful.
If they are gonna leave that tree in the middle of Lake George that used to be a Christmas tree, they might as well decorate it for St. Patty’s day, then change it for all the other holidays.
I visit Cowles Bog at least once a week. I was excited to hear about the restoration project to bring it back to its natural splendor. I think the residents of Dune Acres are another invasive species that needs to be removed from the lakeshore.
