Just so Portage residents know, if you have any extra garbage outside of your toter make sure that you do it in the first week of the month so you don’t get charged.
People of Union Township, think hard before you vote “yes” on the referendum to raise taxes for the school. Ask yourself, are they spending the money they have wisely?
For once I agree with State Rep. Charlie Brown, D-Gary. The governor has no business being able to veto appointees to the Gary/Chicago International Airport board. Stay down in Indianapolis where you belong. You’re not trying to help Gary, so don’t try to hurt it.
Maybe it would make more sense to spend the money for all the bike trails and paint on the roadways to repair the roads in Valparaiso.
If our country is broke and we have a tremendous national debt, why are we still spending huge amounts of money on such things as roundabouts?
