Residents that live along west 57th Avenue in Merrillville: For spring, why don’t you take a bag and pick up some of that horrible trash that is all along the road? I pass it every day going to work. I do not live there or I would pick it up.
I was at McDonalds on U.S. 30, and my van is rather old, and my gas hand stopped working. A gentleman assisted us in getting gas. I was with my 95-year-old neighbor. I just want to say there are still some good people in this world.
Martin Luther King Jr. was only 39 and changed the world with a dream. The citizens of Gary need to use this inspiration to change Gary. No more boarded up disgraceful homes and buildings. No more garbage on the streets. The mayor cannot do it on her own. Each person, each home, each street, each neighborhood...the city. Do it.
Turning left onto Vale Park Road from Rittenhouse Retirement Home is difficult enough now, especially with the dentist office sign next door blocking the westerly view of traffic. It will be darn near impossible when that five-point roundabout is in place.
