To the Quickly complainer about the Highland Police Department issuing a warning of the rains and flooding: They sent out an alert to residents telling them that the Street Department would be checking the drains, but residents could help them in case the workers did not get out to them all before the possibility of floods.
My crazy neighbors are mowing their lawn with weather in the 30s and completely soaked ground. It’s going to get cold tonight. I’d laugh if it snowed. What is wrong with these people?
Well Porter County, here I go again trying to get my neighbor to quiet his three constantly barking dogs. Spring and summer are almost here and again I am dealing with this constant noise. I did like the Sheriff’s Department asked and spoke with the neighbor, but nothing has changed.
My husband and I attended Grandparents Day last Thursday at Oak Hill Elementary School in Lowell. The music teacher wrote the most beautiful song, “I Love America,” and it touched everyone’s heart right when we needed it.
