What’s the tea party outrage all about? Why shouldn’t the IRS closely scrutinize applications for tax exempt status? Oops, sorry. I forgot that the tea people think we shouldn’t pay taxes for anything.
The Dow being above 15,000 is a big deal for all retired people who depend on their investment income to pay their utility bills and medical expenses and buying a newspaper is a luxury expense for some retired people.
What a joke! Lake County income tax! What’s next? Garage sale tax or yard sale tax? See you at the voting booth when you want to be re-elected!
I am a Lake County resident and work in Porter County, and have been paying a Porter County tax for years. So, what is the problem instituting that tax for Lake County. I’m glad that they’re finally doing the right thing about voting for Lake County tax. Kudos to our officials.
Considering every other county in Indiana already has an income tax, I assume you will be moving out of state when you abandon your home. Try Illinois or Ohio with taxes twice as much as ours. Or being jobless in Michigan would be nice.

Well now, that’s even more alarming. That the U.S. government can legally wiretap anyone and they didn’t after learning Tsarnaev’s possible terrorist activities from the Russian authorities. WOW!
