Most of the time it’s not that people quit caring about their home, it’s that their financial circumstances have changed. Maybe they can’t afford to fix their roof or maybe they even can’t afford to put gas in the lawn mower.

Sadly the Crown Point hot dog lady retired. I miss her too.

While driving through one of Hobart’s neighborhoods today I noticed that someone has a six month jump on getting their Christmas decorations up.

Come on Merrillville Town Council, get whoever’s responsible to fix the crossing at 63rd and Taft before someone has a serious accident. Drivers have to come to an almost complete stop to cross the tracks safely.

Want to save a bundle on gas? Go to Michigan City and save 30 cents a gallon over Valparaiso.

I’m not sure where you are if you think the trails are not being used Portage. We walk almost every day if it’s not raining and even most days during the winter. On average during a 20 minute walk we’ll meet 10 to 20 people. I love that Portage is actively improving our quality of life, pride and amenities.
