It’s amazing how well the person who created “The Dinette Set” knows my neighbors.
Now that the renovation to Marquette Park is almost complete, it is so sad that parking lots were closed during the fall, winter and spring. For over 40 years I have been enjoying the park year round. Now that it is fixed up I’m not good enough for it? I have my pail and shovel ready. Let me in, I want to play.
Regarding prayer before public meetings: remember, our country was founded on freedom of religion, not freedom from religion.
The Democrats in East Chicago squander $24 million in tax payer money, and the taxpayers are getting $331,000 back. Can’t beat a deal like that!
I would like to extend a huge thank you
to the Gary Police Department for stepping up your patrols near the 500 block of Johnson. As the weather continues to get warmer, I implore you to continue the same frequency of your presence. If there is a way for you to increase patrols, please do because it is necessary to send the message to the loiterers there.
