I want to give a sincere thank you to the Northwest Indiana Food Bank and local organizations for a great job at feeding those in need. We all need to be aware of those who are needing a helping hand, and no child should go to bed hungry. Please donate. Let’s rid Northwest Indiana of hunger once and for all.
Someone wrote about a rumor that “Occupy” and other leftists were targeted by the IRS. I’m not sure that’s true but the point is the IRS should not target anybody for their politics. Can’t you see that? And no, the last thing we need is to “move on.” People need to go to jail.
Jump ahead 10 years into the future
to read a Post Tribune headline: “Gary officials announced today they are optimistic that the long-awaited runway expansion should be completed within 12 to 18 months.” Will it ever be completed?
The picture of the tearful dalmation mourning the lost firefighters on Wednesday’s Opinion page made me cry. Such a loss.
So the unpopular part of the Affordable Health Care Act requiring companies to offer coverage has been delayed until 2015. You know, after 2014 elections. Wanna try to sell me on that “Hope and Change” again?
Once again the government has been successful in diverting attention from real issues like unemployment, government spying on its citizens and fiscal disaster by pushing nonissues like gay rights, abortion and immigration reform. The taxpayers have been fooled once again.
You are dead-on regarding not needing to pull over for an opposing funeral procession. When drivers do that, I just drive around them. You are not “showing respect,” you are obstructing traffic.
