Kudos to the Lake Station Police Department at the Fourth of July Parade. They helped one of their fellow officers in his marriage proposal, and it was something that we won’t forget for a very long time.

I live in Hobart and the fireworks

have not stopped yet. Enough is enough!!!

There were piles of discharged fireworks and other trash left at the John A. Stefek park in Merrillville after the Fourth. Wonder how long the new playground equipment will last before its ruined.

I emptied out all of the old gas from my old chain-saw gas can and took it to Chesterton Middle School today for the gas can exchange. The guy said my old gas can was too far gone to exchange, so I filled it up with new gas on the way home and will keep using it. Strange system.

So when does the town of Griffith plan on picking up the piles of downed limbs and sticks that dot the majority of homes of Griffith’s east side?
