I live in Gary and I cannot understand how people can be shot and killed, in restaurants, in front of crowds and at parties, and not one individual will call the confidential police line and report it. It’s like they condone it.
The post office in Glen Park is overgrown with weeds and full of trash. I don’t care what other people say. This looks terrible. Do something about it.
A Gary man was arrested for selling guns to Chicago-area gangs. Is it still nobody’s business how many guns are bought at the Crown Point gun show? Are you part of the problem?
Sending the state police will not magically rid the city of Gary of its crime. Come up with some concrete and long-term solutions instead of asking for a band-aid.
The people of Gary are still trying to rely on “block clubs” to promote mowing and general yard work. Do you really have to be told or reminded by a “block club” sign to clean up after yourself?
Kudos to Ed French and others who helped re-establish Little League in Gary. The interest is there, you just need adults willing to step up and help. Any others out there willing to help?
