Thanks to the Highland workers who did the tree trimming at 43rd and Farmer Drive. A magnificent job. It improved my view a lot.
The parkways in Crown Point are being used by businesses and homeowners to advertise. There is an ordinance against this use. It’s distracting and interferes with safe driving, as does the outdoors eating. It causes the pedestrians to use the streets because there is little room on the sidewalks.
So Crown Point votes on giving employees a 3 percent raise just before the county 1.5 percent income tax takes effect. Don’t forget, Oct. 1 county payroll tax begins!
How do you know none of the people at Railcats games are from Gary? Do you take a poll, or do you just assume that only black people live in Gary, I don’t see any black people, so there is no one from Gary at the game. Geez!
Right-To-Work is working; please don’t mess it up. One hundred-plus good paying jobs coming to Valparaiso.
