I think an armchair conversation about politics in Quickly is healthy.
Driving through the roundabout in Valpo yesterday, it seems like there’s a lot of confusion out there. Good grief, what a train wreck!
Are there any black or Hispanic women in the tea party? How about Asian women? Any gays? Any poor people?
These women who have admitted to faking accidents make me sick. They are the reason that all of us have to pay higher insurance rates. They are the reason those who are seriously hurt have a hard time getting relief.
Most of you people don’t realize that under Obamacare your plan will cover maternity, even if you’re a single male. I can’t remember any male ever giving birth.
I can already imagine what the readers are going to put in Quickly next year when their medical insurance is giving them the runaround on what is covered and how long it will be before they can get their services. Sad.
American Federation of Teachers president Randi Weingarten is absolutely right. Our public school system has been privatized because there is so much money to be made. Educating our children is not the priority, making a large profit.
Thursday’s Quickly writer’s skepticism about anything beautiful in Gary reminded me of the question, “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” The writer is “not going back.” Question: Did anything good come out of Gary? Is anything good “not going back”? Nope.
Rain or shine, Halloween should be celebrated on the last Saturday of October. It would be much more family-friendly.
