K udos to U.S. Rep. Peter Visclosky for working diligently to divert $250 million in Northwest Indiana tax dollars to pay for a commuter line to shorten the drive time for Dyer and Munster commuters. When the line is built, commuters will no longer have to drive all the way to Hammond or East Chicago to ride the existing South Shore line. To save 6 or 8 miles of driving for a few hundred commuters is well worth $250 million.
With all the complaints about the running of the government and how each party views the other, I see people have lost all sight as to why we have Quickly to begin with. Let’s get back on track with complaints about roundabouts and potholes. Come on, people!
Hey, Quickly writer blaming Obama “for giving our once-proud space program short shrift” — Congress funds programs such as NASA. Why not ask Boehner for $30 billion so someone can visit the planet you live on.
Now that the Bears have let Hester and Peppers go, look for Briggs and Tillman to go too so they can remake the defense. Unfortunately, it will be all in vain since they will still be stuck with a mediocre QB who probably will be injured before the season is half over.
