A Cedar Lake Town Council member is using the personnel changes as a stepping stone to political ambitions. At least three down as far as I know. None for the good of Cedar Lake. All for personal glory.
The good — Burns Harbor has a new Town Council. The bad — the council votes for a four-month president. The ugly — it appears that maybe three of the new council members may have done a backroom deal! Is this what the town residents should expect for the next four years, backroom deals?
I never saw streets in Portage so unplowed and unmanageable. Bring back Olga!
A special thanks to Dontrell, who helped me change my tire Friday the 13th, the morning after our first snowstorm. I went into the Gary police station asking for help and he was kind enough to help me. He said if it was his mother who needed help he would want someone to help her. Thank you so much. What a nice young man. Your mother would be proud of you. I know I am.
I’m driving westbound down U.S. 30 at 4:45 p.m. Thursday. I’ve driven all the way from about Southlake mall to Pine Island Drive, and I have yet to see a plow or salt truck. You wonder why people from other states laugh at the way Indiana does its snow plowing? It’s absolutely a joke.
The Valparaiso School Board is short $3 million? Start selling naming rights to the stadium, gym, soccer field. Why do I have to think of everything?
No, it’s not just you. The “mayhem” commercials, along with all of the other car insurance commercials, are not at all amusing and mostly just stupid. And then there are the health insurance commercials that are just plain phoney, thinking we would actually believe that these companies actually care about our well-being.
