Obama’s record is fine, it’s Republicans who are wrong
No, Gary Ziolkowski, Barack Obama is not the worst president since James Carter. That honor goes to George W. Bush, followed by Ronald Reagan followed by George H.W. Bush. Obama’s record is not terrible, it is the obstructionist congressional Republicans’ record that is terrible. It’s a shame you can’t see the obvious.
Obama has no war on capitalism, upholds the Constitution, unlike his predecessor Bush, and does not stifle our economy. It is the congressional Republicans who are deliberately stifling our economy so that lemmings who don’t have the sense God gave a goose will blame Obama instead of placing the blame squarely where it belongs — on John Boehner and his neananderthal Republican cohorts.
I know enough Americans will see through all the Republican campaign baloney and will re-elect Obama and give him a filibuster-proof Democratic majority in both houses. Then we will see what Obama can do when he has the same tools that Bush had for 8 years.
The Republicans have been tearing our country apart since Reagan and his failed policies and will only continue without conscience under Romney. Re-electing Obama and giving him the congressional support he needs will bring us out of the mess the Republicans have put us in.

911 law doesn’t help local communities, has no plan
State Sen. Brandt Hershman’s House Enrolled Act 1204, which his boss Gov. Mitch Daniels signed into law, sure smells of throwing a bunch of stuff at the wall to see what sticks! Since this act has been signed no one has come up with a plan to streamline or improve 911 service not only for Northwest Indiana, but the entire state. Mr. Hershman, where is the date to support the argument that this bill will reduce delays, waste, duplication, justification of additional telephone fees to citizens of Indiana?
It seems Indiana’s leaders mandate an act, vote it in, sign it into law, then wash their hands of it! Now counties, cities and towns have to come up with 911 plans without funding or support from the state, but with penalties if they don’t comply!

Writer needs to find some new topics to opine on
Why do you publish letters from Gary Ziolkowski on a weekly basis? He does not think much of President Obama or liberals. Enough already. I get it. At least change the subject once in a while.
Gary, what do you think of paying for space travel with pesos?
Is Kouts really the best place for the 2016 Winter Olympic games?
Should Indiana be admitted to the Union?
Waiting with bated breath for your reply.
