Republicans won’t learn
from Obama’s re-election
It’s so sad the re-election of President Barack Obama will not do that for which the American people clearly called.
This election was a mandate on the eradication of hate, and a clear referendum on trust, character and who will be most responsive to the hopes and dreams of all Americans.
It is unfortunate the Republican Party will continue to identify with the likes of Rush Limbaugh, Donald Trump or Glenn Beck and religious fanatics such as the defeated candidate for Indiana’s U.S. Senate seat, Richard Mourdock.
They still don’t get it. The Republican Party doesn’t realize that blacks, Latinos, Asian-Americans and women are forces with which to be dealt.
The party, as constructed, will become extinct. No longer will a national election be bought and won by a white male who neglected the will of the majority.
From this day, for eternity, the former white majority will be the minority.
My statement on the white minority is not to demonize, but to send a clear message to the likes of syndicated columnist Charles Krauthammer.

Global warming as sure as Obama’s re-election data
I know that al-jbra (algebra) was invented by the Arabs. But it does work; that’s why math is written in Arabic numerals. Algebra is especially effective when enhanced by a smart guy using a computer, using real data rather referencing his opinions as if they were facts.
Yes, President Barack Obama won the election — in popular vote and the Electoral College.
Yes, it was obvious before the election that Obama would win.
Yes, the most prominent forecaster predicted the vote in all 50 states, even the razor-thin margin in Florida.
Yes, studying a problem and analyzing the data gives a much better answer than just offering an opinion.
And, yes, those equally nerdy guys who study and analyze the weather are correct in their pronouncements about man-made global warming. At this point, a warmer world and continually rising sea levels are things you can “take to the bank.”

It’s time for the rich to start paying their fair share
Let’s all jump off the fiscal cliff together; the landing won’t be that hard for us middle- and lower-class people. When we fall down, we know how to get back up.
It’s time for the rich and the upper-class folks to pay their fair share that we have been paying, and maybe we finally will start to see that trickle down we were promised years ago.
Oh, let me add, with the help of Congress.
