Parents threw God and guns out in Newtown, Conn.
It’s been more than two months since the terrible tragedy that struck Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn. What a parable of America in 2013. Its horror is inexpressible, its reality imperceptible. Imagine the lives of 20 precious children snuffed out, not to mention the lives and promising future of six adults.
Surely, gun control is not the answer. Chicago has some of the nation’s toughest gun-control laws, yet more than 500 people were murdered there last year. Typical socialism!
In one column, a writer (an atheist) sneered, “Where was God?” Indeed, where was He? He was not there because He was not wanted. America has thrown prayer out of the classroom, banished all vestiges of God from public schools. When the Newtown gunman burst into the classroom, who could these vulnerable, unprotected kids cry out for? Their parents approved the banning of both God and guns from the public classroom, which are “gun-free zones” in Connecticut. Of course, the slayer knew this, and that he would be confronted neither with God nor with guns. No God + No Guns = No Protection.
Today in America, people worship not God but themselves. Pleasure-seeking is central in the lives of Americans. The people care not what their government does — killing, torture, lies — anything and everything goes. That is America 2013, and the whole world hates us for it.
Were infamous movies (i.e., “The Shining,” “Demon Seed,” “Damien” and “Rosemary’s Baby”) depicting the conception and delivery of the son of Satan the official “entry point” for Stalinists in America? It is as if for more than 75 years, a strange growth has been gnawing inside this once-great land. Inside our womb is some terrible, undefinable force, waiting to be delivered. Meanwhile, we sit and anxiously await the birth of the newborn baby. And when it arrives, then what will we do?

Obama complains about cuts to make them seem worse
Something doesn’t add up. Obama blames Republicans for the sequester, even though it was originally his idea. Obama blames Republicans for not compromising on taxes, even though they already agreed to raise taxes in January. Now Obama and his minions are trying to show the devastating effect of cutting less than 2 percent from the bloated federal budget by cancelling White House tours, promising long lines at airports, laying off employees, and cutting hours at parks and museums.
They must make these cuts appear catastrophic and convince Americans they just can’t do with any less government spending. But even with these miniscule cuts, the government will still be spending more in 2013 than in 2012 — and somehow they funded those White House tours last year! This is all a game to them. Sadly, it’s a game where the American people and our wallets are the losers.
