Don’t let government or the media raise our children
I strongly agree with “It’s up to all of us to help young people learn morals” letter by Grace Turner. There’s a need for more attention and love along with fewer excuses. It’s easy for anyone to blame the environment, but as a woman who grew up on the west side of Chicago, I know that’s just an excuse. If “parents” are going to let streets and the media raise their kids, then yes, society is raising thugs, murders, rapists, womanizers, molesters and baby murderers (abortionists), who kill as a form of birth control instead of just saying no, or being selective.
People are using the government in place of morals. Government says you can kill the unborn or stalk and kill someone and claim “stand your ground” as self-defense because morals were not instilled in them right growing up. Don’t abort, put up for adoption. There are good parents waiting to be made through adoption. Too much responsibility is placed with government, schools and the children to raise responsible adults. Yes, kids will be kids, but over time it is proven moral-wise that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.
Going along with the crowd on gay marriage is wrong
God made a lasting impression when Pilate realized he could not change the crowd’s mind. Even when the chief priests saw Jesus, they thought they were being publicly correct shouting, “Crucify him.”
Pilate replied,” I find no fault in this man. He is innocent.” Because of the exasperating pressure, Pilate authorized the crucifixion of Jesus. He also demanded “King of the Jews” be carved into the top of Jesus’ cross.
We should learn a lesson about being “publicly correct in order to go along with the crowd”? Marriage is to be between a man and a woman. God’s word is always correct.
Praise God. Our communities, families, friends, government and our United States can benefit when we follow the Bible’s guidelines.
Parents using vouchers pay taxes just like other parents
People who are against vouchers for parents to send their children to a private school don’t realize they pay taxes to support your child in a public school and all they want is the same handout in vouchers as you receive to educate your child. You should demand discipline and religion to be taught in public schools to cut down violence.
Those people who do not pay taxes but get the same services as taxpayers should remember 15 percent of all taxpayers pay 57 percent of all taxes collected. The government wants a socialist state then who pays taxes? Balance the budget.
