Congrats to the rich, who did it all
Just read the top 1 percent collected a record 19.3 percent of household incomes in 2012. The top 1 percent’s income increased by almost 20 percent last year. Hooray for top 1 percent. I am so proud of you I could cry.
By your own bootstraps you pulled yourselves up from obscurity to lead our country and the world with your sheer genius. You accomplished this without a middle class. Your ancestors used to feed the “golden goose” but not you. You have figured it out. You need nothing but creativity and a little help from the tax code. Well, maybe a just a little help from deregulation and a powerless SEC — “Pay the fine and don’t do the time.”
The Supreme Court may have helped just a tad. But you put it together on your own — except for roads and bridges and the finest military in the history of time.
Unions, minimum-wage freaks, health care wackos, socialists everywhere — hear this and hear this now: THE TOP 1 PERCENT GOT THEIRS. TIME TO SHUT UP.
This reminds me of the 1930s, only with a lot more guns around.
