Single-payer is Obama’s goal
To understand the goal of Barack Obama’s healthcare law, check out (on YouTube) his 2003 speech to the AFL-CIO: “I happen to be a proponent of a single-payer, universal health care plan . . . we may not get there immediately.”
Translation: the federal government (single payer) will ultimately have total control of our personal care, the private insurance industry having been eliminated.
So why did Obama repeatedly assure us “If you like your doctor and health care plan, you can keep them” and that our premiums would decrease? Simple: he lied to gain the public’s support.
Now the House Republicans want Obama to give the same one-year delay to individuals he recently handed out to his big business pals; but no, our “middle-class warrior” president refuses to negotiate.
And thus does the Chicago community organizer rule his subjects.
