I would just like to reply to Gerald Jawor’s letter about the veterans protest at the WWII Memorial.
First of all, the veterans weren’t protesting the government shutdown, they were protesting the fact they were locked out of their memorial.
They were also protesting the fact that this administration decided to open the mall for a rally for illegal aliens. So we lock out vets, but we can open the mall, for people that are here illegally.
Mr. Jawor also talks about two Republican senators who were at the veterans protest, insinuating they were derelict in their duty. Mr. Jawor fails to mention that half the Democratic delegation was at the illegal rally. So two Republican senators show up for our real heroes, and a lot of Democrats show up for the illegals. I know who I support.
Mr. Jawor also talks about Sarah Palin supporting the vets, and the fact that she didn’t finish her term as governor. I seem to remember a senator from Illinois that didn’t finish his term.
