Maggie Wagner celebrated her 106th birthday Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012. Affectionately called “Mother,” she was joined by family and friends for the celebration. She received her favorite dinner, flowers, presents, cake, and many cards and well wishes. Wagner also received birthday greetings from President Barack Obama and Rep. Peter Visclosky, D-Merrillville. Originally from Georgia, Wagner lived a vibrant, active life in Chicago for almost 60 years.
