Indiana State Police arrested Christopher Albin, 23, without incident at his residence at 808 Virginia Ave. on a charge of child solicitation, a Class C felony. Alicia Campbell, 35, of 2323 Polk St., and Terigno Johnson, 38, of 802 E. 36th Ave., were arrested with Trelonnie Wilson, who was charged in September. Edorney Coffey, 37, admitted he burglarized Luke Oil in August 2012, damaging doors and a cash register and stealing cigarettes. HAMMOND Man accused of kidnapping A man already awaiting trial in federal court on charges of robbing a Hammond bank faces a new count of kidnapping someone for money. A traffic stop in Jasper County along Interstate 65 sent two people to jail Tuesday after state police found 40 pounds of khat worth about $20,000. Khat is a flowering plant that is mostly grown in Africa. It has a shelf life of about two weeks before it starts to lose its potency. Users usually chew it for the stimulant-euphoric effect it has, police said.

Porter County Courts Burglar sentenced to prison, addiction program A series of three burglaries to the same home for money for heroin garnered a Chesterton man a six-year prison term. Joseph Robert Grundell, 27, may not have to serve all that time before he gets out to serve four years of probation, though. Porter County Superior Court Judge William Alexa ordered Grundell’s placement in the Westville Therapeutic Community program.
