Does the NBA require TV announcers to tell us every quarter what a good guy LeBron James is?
The refs wanted Miami to win Game 2. LeBron James very clearly fouled Kevin Durant on that last play. Had it been called he would have been at the line to probably tie the game. Instead OKC was forced to foul and put James on the line. Shockingly, he made both, so that’s a four-point swing.
The Bulls need to trade Derrick Rose before next season and get some tougher players who won’t get hurt whenever they fall down. Being an all-star doesn’t mean a thing if you sit on the disabled list most of the season.
U.S. Cellular Field is the only ballpark in the major leagues that you can call and ask what time the game starts and they will say, “Well, what time can you be here?”
Hey, hey, Cubs fans: How do you like your savior, Theo Epstein, now? It’s not going to be “wait until next year,” but “wait until next century” before the lovable losers on the North Side win a title.
At the current rate, those cute little Cubbies will have 100 losses by Labor Day. “Don’t stop now, boys!” Keep up the good work!
The grass at Wrigley Field is so bad, even the bands don’t want to play concerts there.
Shhh, don’t tell anyone. The White Sox are in first place.
Everything going on with Jerry Sandusky should be on the front page of the paper, not in the sports section. Stop trying to hide this accused pedophile. From what are you protecting him? Put the man where he needs to be — behind bars. Stop hiding him.
The last time I checked, Notre Dame wasn’t a tiny university. You might not like the school, but it isn’t tiny.
It’s that time of year again when some parents of Little Leaguers need some anger management. Chances are, your son never will make it to the big leagues, so relax and let him have some fun.
The Red Sox B-major game on June 8 in Crown Point was awesome. Bases loaded, down by two runs, two outs and two strikes against the batter. He hit that third pitch into the outfield and won the game. All the parents were on their feet, cheering. What a great way to end the game. I hope the boys enjoy playing as much as we enjoy watching them.
Michigan City has an open date in football in Week 1. What a great chance for Hobart to schedule a quality opponent. The junior-varsity teams already play in Week 1.
If a pitcher just misses a no-hitter, the umpire is blamed. If a pitcher gets a no-hitter, some people say the umpire was too easy. You can’t please the fans; they are never happy.
Matt Cain had a perfect game. How great is that? But this is the fifth no-hitter so far this year. Isn’t that unusual?
Nice article on gymnast Gabby Douglas and her grandfather, Theodore Hawkins. I’ve been watching Gabby for about two years; she is phenomenal. If you haven’t seen Gabby, watch her in the Olympic trials.
At least Phil Mickelson didn’t quit this week’s tournament. His game is in shambles.
Fighter Floyd Mayweather is requesting to be released from jail because the low quality food and water threaten his health. Did he think he was checking into a five-star hotel?
