Irish to host Duke in first ACC season

The Notre Dame men’s basketball team will have a home game against Duke for the first time since 1995 as part of the Irish’s first ACC schedule.
The conference announced opponent pairings for 2013-14 league games on Tuesday.
Notre Dame will play each ACC school at least once as part of the 18-game conference schedule.
Notre Dame will have home and road games against North Carolina, Virginia, Georgia Tech and Boston College. The Irish last played at North Carolina in 1993. The Tar Heels’ last trip to Notre Dame was in 1994.
Additionally, Notre Dame will have home-only games Clemson, North Carolina State, Pittsburgh, Virginia Tech and the aforementioned meeting with the Blue Devils. Notre Dame last played Duke in the 2002 NCAA tournament. Duke holds a 19-2 lead in the all-time series and has won the last 11 contests between the teams.
Notre Dame will have road-only games against Florida State, Maryland, Miami, Syracuse and Wake Forest.
Dates will be announced at a later time. The ACC men’s basketball tournament will be held March 12-16 at Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, N.C.
