P-T Rankings
1. Merrillville
Winning, winning, the Pirates keep on winning. When will they lose? It might be a while.
2. Boone Grove
It seems inevitable that the Wolves will win yet another PCC tourney title this week.
3. Griffith
The Panthers move up in the poll, but that could change if Lowell wins tonight in the biggest NCC game of the year.
4. Michigan City
The Wolves had zero points in the third quarter at Chesterton. Zero points with all that talent. That’s hard to believe.
5. Lowell
The Red Devils move down a little, but that could change if Griffith loses toinght in the NCC game of the year.
6. East Chicago
The Cards move up a notch, but that could change if Roosevelt beat them on Thursday.
7. Roosevelt
If the Panthers beat EC on Thursday, it would build some momentum for West Side.
8. West Side
The Northwestern title will be on the line Tuesday when the Cougars face Roosevelt.
9. Whiting
The Oilers are looking to bring home their first GSSC Tournament title this week.
10. Hanover Central
The Wildcats almost beat Boone Grove on Tuesday. They’ll get another chance in round-robin play next week.
Player of the week
Blayr Poston, Hanover
The junior did all she could in a loss to Boone Grove on Tuesday with four 3-pointers on her way to 25 points. She also had 18 points in a win over South Central last Saturday.
