P-T Rankings

1. Merrillville

History was on the line Thursday night as the Pirates tried to finish an undefeated regular season.

2. Lowell

NCC title ... check. Next up is winning the program’s first sectional in 12 years.

3. Boone Grove

Boone may be the top-ranked team in its sectional, but it won’t be easy.

4. West Side

Looks like the young Cougars are heating up at the right time with a seven-game winning streak.

5. Michigan City

On the other hand, MC isn’t playing well down the stretch.

6. Bowman

A double-OT win over Hobart shows the Eagles can put up the points and handle adversity.

7. Griffith

The Panthers aren’t exactly playing well heading into the postseason.

8. Whiting

The Oilers are such a wildcard in their tough Class 2A sectional after moving up a class.

9. Wheeler

And the Bearcats are the other wildcard in a 2A sectional that also includes ultra-talented Bowman.

10. East Chicago

The Cards are playing well as sectionals approach with a win over Hanover.

RaShawnda Dunlap, Bowman

The senior forward had 33 points, 11 rebounds and six steals in a double-overtime win over Hobart last Friday.
