Joel O’Shea, Wheeler
The freshman continues to impress this season. He finished third at Saturday’s Bob Thomas Invite in Lowell, and won a four-team Greater South Shore Conference meet on Tuesday between Wheeler, Whiting, Lake Station and River Forest.

Michelle Kent, Kankakee Valley
The sophomore enjoyed the kind of week most runners only dream of. She led KV to a double dual win over Andrean and Munster on Tuesday, beating 59ers standout Becca Conley in the process. She followed that up that with a strong fourth-place finish in the Bob Thomas Invite on Saturday.
