1. Merrillville
The Pirates left little doubt about which team is No. 1 after they drubbed Lake Central last week.
2. Lake Central
The Indians drop a spot after a loss to Pirates. This is a team with a great defense, but offense is still a question mark.
3. Chesterton
The Trojans can reclaim the No. 1 spot if they beat Merrillville this week. They get them at home, which helps.
4. Andrean
The 59ers have the easiest road in the tournament. Of course, they get a rematch with Wheeler in the sectional opener. They beat up on Griffith last week.
5. Kankakee Valley
The Kougars were able to knock off Highland last week after getting upset by Andrean the week before. Munster won’t be easy this week.
6. Hobart
The Brickies should finish the season with a win against Highland. Big matchup looms with KV in first round of the sectional.
7. Crown Point
The Bulldogs drop a spot after losing a close one to Chesterton. They’re the third best team in the DAC.
8. East Chicago
The Cardinals finish with a one loss season if they win tonight, but Griffith won’t be easy.
9. Lowell
The Red Devils can prove something if they beat Andrean tonight. This is a team that has simmered just below excellent all year.
10. Hammond
The Wildcats (5-2) sneak into the top 10 after Bowman lost to Roosevelt last week.
