Raves: A strong postseason run for the second straight year capped a stellar high school career for one of the state’s best runners.
Kyle Eller
Lowell senior
By the numbers: Fifth at state, third at semistate, first at regional, first at sectional
Raves: Eller saved his best for the final race of his high school career, as the first local runner to cross the finish line at Terre Haute.
Peyton Reed
Valparaiso senior
By the numbers: 44th at state, 12th at semistate, first at regional, first at sectional
Raves: A pair of victories in postseason races showcased one of the Vikings’ most talented runners.
Ari Coulopoulos
Valparaiso junior
By the numbers: 15th at state, sixth at semistate, third at regional, fifth at sectional
Raves: After a quiet regular season, Coulopoulos was a vital part of Valparaiso’s postseason success. He was the first Vikings finisher at both semistate and state.
Taylor Bissachi

By the numbers: 46th at state, seventh at semistate, sixth at regional, third at sectional
Raves: Another key to the Vikings’ postseason efforts, Bissachi was the individual winner at the DAC championship meet.

Anthony Didion
LaPorte junior
By the numbers: 84th at state, ninth at semistate, fourth at regional, second at sectional
Raves: All season long, Didion was near the front of the pack in a very competitive DAC. With one more season left, he could move closer to the front in 2013.
Tom Bolanowski
Munster senior
By the numbers: 16th at semistate, second at regional, first at sectional
Raves: The Mustangs’ top runner all season, Bolanowski helped carry Munster to an NCC title.
Brent Dunn
Hobart junior
By the numbers: 63rd at state, 11th at semistate, sixth at regional, sixth at sectional
Raves: Hampered by injuries in the regular season, Dunn rebounded with a solid postseason that culminated with his second straight appearance at the state meet.
Landon Davison
Valparaiso senior
By the numbers: 50th at state, 10th at semistate, 10th at regional, seventh at sectional
Raves: While not drawing the same headlines as his Vikings’ teammates, Davison’s consistent performances were crucial, particularly in the postseason.
Alex Ray
Crown Point senior
By the numbers: 79th at state, 15th at semistate, fourth at regional, fourth at sectional
Raves: The lone Bulldogs’ representative at the state meet, Ray completed the career hat trick by earning his third trip to Terre Haute by a two-second margin over Bolanowski.
